To make your Convention registration experience as easy as possible, check your membership status (you must register using your current membership category) and make sure your dues are current.
If you register using a different member category than what is currently in your ASHA account, your registration cannot be processed until this problem is resolved, and mailing of your Convention materials may be delayed. If you have questions regarding your membership or dues, call the ASHA Action Center at 800-498-2071.
Read more about the various types of ASHA membership and benefits, then complete and submit the application that corresponds to your membership type or call the ASHA Action Center at 800-498-2071 for more information or assistance.
If you plan to join ASHA to take advantage of a member rate on your Convention registration, call the ASHA Action Center first to check the status of your application. If your membership has not been processed at the time you need to register (such by August 31 to take advantage of the Early Bird discounted rate), you should pay the fee that applies to you at the time you register.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about membership status changes, status change deadlines, and registration refunds. ASHA membership applications cannot be accepted onsite at the ASHA Convention, nor can refunds for registration category adjustments be issued onsite. You will receive a credit card refund or check refund in the mail after Convention.
If you have been an ASHA member and working for 1–3 years, you may register under this discounted rate. This rate is also available upon request to people in their Clinical Fellowship Year.
Current NSSLHA members must have a NSSLHA membership number to register for Convention at the NSSLHA rate. If you are enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, or are a full-time doctoral student and do not hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence, you are eligible to join NSSLHA.
If you are an ASHA Graduate Student member (doctoral candidate holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence), you may register at the discounted rate. You need to include your member number and use the student registration form. If you are unsure of your ASHA membership category, please call the ASHA Action Center at 800-498-2071.
Related professionals are individuals who do not belong to ASHA, are not audiologists or speech-language pathologists, and want to attend the Convention for educational purposes to enhance their professional knowledge (e.g., a special education teacher).
A guest is a person attending the Convention in a social capacity only. Guest status does not include attendance at any professional or scientific sessions. ASHA members, as well as audiologists and speech-language pathologists who are not ASHA members, are not eligible for this registration category. Guests must be registered in order to access the Exhibit Hall.
The International Affiliate rate is available only to International Affiliate members of ASHA and/or members of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC), Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), Speech Pathology Association of Australia (SPA), International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics (IALP), Standing Liaison Committee of Speech and Language Therapists/Logopedists in the European Union (CPLOL) and International Society of Audiology (ISA), which have reciprocal agreements with ASHA for members to receive the discounted registration fee.
Registrants who live outside the United States will not receive badges and tickets in the mail. At Convention, International registrants should bring their e-mail confirmation to the Will Call desk and scan the bar code for their badge, any purchased tickets. Additional information for international registrants is also available.
