There are many ways to add some fun to your professional development at the ASHA Convention—relax and connect with colleagues and friends at these social events. Some events may require tickets (as noted); tickets may be purchased or reserved through registration.
We hold extra function space during the ASHA Convention to support affiliate organizations that would like to host meetings or receptions in conjunction with our event. Learn more about the guidelines and submit a space request for your group.
The 2024 ASHA Convention will be spread across several facilities which are not connected. We will have plenty of guidance on hand to help you get where you need to go, but always be sure to check the Program Planner and mobile app for the exact location of activities.

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Join ASHA staff on Wednesday afternoon for a tour of the Seattle Convention Center to get the lay of the land before the Convention begins. The tour leaves at 3:00 p.m. from the Summit Building lobby near the ASHA Information Booth and will end in the Arch Building’s Elevate Atrium at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Is this your first ASHA Convention? Come to this popular gathering to get an overview of the event and to preview programs and activities slated for the next three days. You'll have an opportunity to meet the ASHA president and Convention co-chairs, as well as other ASHA staff and volunteer representatives who can provide guidance for your first ASHA Convention. The First-Timers' Welcome Reception is also an opportunity to connect with others attending for the first time. Enjoy light refreshments.

Please join the ASHA Political Action Committee Board in honoring our 2024 ASHA-PAC Excellence in Advocacy Honorees at the ASHA-PAC Reception. This special event benefits the ASHA-PAC, which serves as the political voice of the audiology and speech-language pathology professions on Capitol Hill. Tickets are available through registration only to ASHA members for a contribution or may be purchased (as available) at the door.
Join ASHA's 20 SIGs for a professional networking and social gathering. Hear updates about what the SIGs have accomplished in the last year and enjoy some refreshments. These free events are open to all current SIG affiliates and anyone else who would like to meet SIG volunteers, ask questions about the SIGs, and share ideas.
