Important Dates and Deadlines for Authors/Presenters

All authors should be aware of the dates and deadlines listed on this page. They outline when you can expect to receive notifications and the deadlines for critical tasks related to your presentation. If you do not receive one of the email notifications noted below (as applicable) on the date it is scheduled to be sent, please contact us at papers@asha.org as soon as possible. We have indicated the email address that will be sending each notification where ever possible. Please also be sure to check your spam/junk folders.

July 16 All Authors/Presenters All authors will receive an email notification of acceptance/non-acceptance for each submitted proposal from papers@asha.org.
July 29 All Authors/Presenters Minor edits to sessions due. If you need to request a minor edit, or need to withdraw your session, please send an email to papers@asha.org and include your session number in the subject line as well as the type of edit (e.g., “Session 9999 – Author Order”). We are unable to add new authors, make significant title or substance edits, change your session format, or adjust your scheduled day/time.
Late July/Early August 2024 ASHA Convention Program Planner and mobile app launch.
August 1 Registration and housing for the 2024 ASHA Convention open at 10:00 a.m., ET.
August 27 Technical Session and Technical Demo Presenters (In-person and Virtual) Primary presenters of technical sessions and technical demos will receive a letter of invitation and instructions on how to create and record their presentation. The invitation will be sent to the first presenting author listed; they may then share access with other authors listed on the session.
September 30 1-Hour Oral Seminar and Short Course Presenters All authors of 1-hour oral seminars and short courses will receive an email from papers@asha.org with instructions and access to upload their 3-page PDF handout.
October 31 Technical Demo Presenters Deadline for technical demo presenters to upload their presentation slides, audio recording and advance handout to the virtual platform.
October 31 Technical Session Presenters (In-person and Virtual) Technical clinical and technical research session presenters must finalize and submit their presentation and advance handout by October 31.
October 31 Poster Presenters (In-person and Virtual) iPosters must be finalized and submitted by October 31.
November 1 1-Hour Oral Seminar and Short Course, and In-person Technical Session Presenters Deadline for presenters of in-person 1-hour oral seminars, technical sessions, and short courses to upload their 3-page handouts.
November 4 1-Hour Oral Seminar and Short Course Presenters All 1-hour oral seminar and short course authors will receive an invitation and access to pre-load their presentation(s) into Projection's system, which will be used onsite to transmit sessions from the Speaker Ready Room to session rooms.
November 13 Poster Presenters (In-person Only) All in-person poster presenters will receive a message with important details about presenting onsite.
November 20–December 10 ASHA Convention Virtual Extra sessions are available online. Poster presenters, technical clinical and technical research session presenters, and technical demo session presenters should all log into the  system so they can answer any questions submitted by viewers.
November 22 1-Hour Oral Seminar and Short Course Presenters (In-Person) Deadline to pre-load in-person oral session presentations. After this date, presentations must be uploaded onsite in the Speaker Ready Room. ALL in-person presenters are required to check into the Speaker Ready Room in Seattle, regardless of whether they pre-load their presentation in advance or wait until they are onsite. 
December 5–7 The ASHA Convention takes place in Seattle, Washington.
December 13 Deadline to report session participation (both in-person and virtual) for continuing education credit.
December 26 If you are a member of the ASHA CE Registry, your credits will be reported to the CE Registry no later than December 26.
