There are many ways to add some fun to your professional development at the ASHA Convention—relax and connect with colleagues and friends at these social events. Some events may require tickets (as noted); tickets may be purchased or reserved through registration.
We hold extra function space during the ASHA Convention to support affiliate organizations that would like to host meetings or receptions in conjunction with our event. Learn more about the guidelines and submit a space request for your group.
Connect with ASHA’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for professional networking and socializing during the ASHA Convention and get updates about what the SIGs have accomplished in the last year. These events are open to all current SIG affiliates and anyone else who would like to meet SIG volunteers, ask questions, and share ideas. The schedule of SIG Networking Meetings is available on the ASHA website, as well as in the Program Planner and ASHA Convention mobile app (see Meetings & Social).

Join ASHA staff on Wednesday afternoon for a tour of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to get the lay of the land before the Convention begins. The tour leaves at 3:30 p.m. from the ASHA Information Booth in the Grand Lobby.

Is this your first ASHA Convention? Come to this popular gathering to get an overview of the event and to preview programs and activities slated for the next three days. You'll have an opportunity to meet the ASHA president and Convention co-chairs, as well as other ASHA staff and volunteer representatives who can provide guidance for your first ASHA Convention. The First-Timers' Welcome Reception is also an opportunity to connect with others attending for the first time. Enjoy light refreshments.

Please join the ASHA-PAC Board in honoring the 2025 ASHA-PAC Excellence in Advocacy Honorees at the ASHA-PAC Reception. This special event benefits ASHA-PAC, which serves as the political voice of the audiology and speech-language pathology professions on Capitol Hill. Tickets are available as an ASHA-PAC contribution through registration or may be purchased at the door by ASHA members, who are U.S. citizens.

Attend a panel presentation that breaks down The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) recently released report “Measuring Meaningful Outcomes for Adult Hearing Health Interventions.” NASEM committee members and ASHA Audiology staff will be present to answer questions and provide information on how ASHA’s National Outcomes Measurement System registry can support implementation of the report’s key recommendations.
