Various lounges and booths will be available at the in-person event for you to learn more about ASHA services and programs, or to connect with ASHA staff and leadership. All lounges and booths, with representation from ASHA staff and volunteer leaders, will be located at the convention center.

ASHA Advocacy and PAC Booth

Stop by and learn about ASHA's advocacy priorities. Get answers to questions about reimbursement, licensure, and other policy matters. Learn about the PAC and its critical support for our advocacy efforts.

ASHA Certification Lounge

The ASHA Certification Lounge is the place to learn more about the certification process, the current certification standards, certification maintenance, as well as any upcoming changes. In the Certification Lounge, you will also be able to learn more about the Assistants Credentialing Program from staff and members of the Council for Clinical Certification.

ASHA Continuing Education Lounge

Visit the ASHA Continuing Education (CE) Lounge in the exhibit hall! Learn about how to earn ASHA Continuing Education Units (ASHA CEUs), how to discover the right courses for you using ASHA CEFind, how the CE Registry ​can help you maintain your certification and licensure, and how to use the new features on the enhanced CE Registry transcript. The ASHA CE Registry keeps your course records organized and safe so you can focus on helping your patients.

ASHA Journals Lounge

Whether you’re an author, editor, reviewer, or reader, visit the ASHA Journals Lounge to learn more about resources available to you on ASHAWire and the ASHA Journals Academy. Learn about our new Special Collections, and the role of Perspectives as a scholarly review journal, and let us know how we can help you find the research you need to stay in the know.

ASHA-Recognized Specialty Certification Boards Lounge

Interested in obtaining an ASHA-recognized specialty certification? Clinical Specialty Certification enables an audiologist or a speech-language pathologist with advanced knowledge, skills, and experience beyond the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to be formally identified as a Board Certified Specialist (BCS) in a specific area of clinical practice. Stop by the Specialty Certification Lounge to learn more about becoming a Board Certified Specialist in Intraoperative Monitoring (BCS-IOM), Child Language (BCS-CL), Fluency and Fluency Disorders (BCS-F), or Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (BCS-S).

Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) Lounge

Stop by to consult with CAA members and Accreditation staff, or share with us your burning questions about the Standards for Accreditation and accreditation processes. Learn about submitting CAA reports in the online (EnGauge) system, preparing for a site visit, interpretation and expectations of the Standards, recent process changes, how to become a site visitor, and more.

Faculty-Researcher Lounge

​Connect with other faculty and researchers, learn about CSD Education Survey data, and get answers to your questions about academic and clinical education issues. Explore funding and training opportunities offered through award, mentoring, and research education programs. Learn about ASHA’s resources to advance interprofessional education/interprofessional collaborative practice (IPE/IPP) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

International Lounge

Everyone is invited to stop by and learn about ASHA's International Programs. Find out more about the International Affiliates program and new modifications to eligibility; ASHA's international initiatives and programs; ASHA's collaboration with the World Health Organization and, in particular, with the Pan American Health Organization; and how joining Special Interest Group 17 (Global Issues in Communication Sciences and Related Disorders) can extend your learning help you connect with other members who have an interest in international issues. You can also learn about the activities of the International Issues Board.

Leadership Lounge

Stop by the Leadership Lounge to learn how to advance your leadership skills and your career with ASHA's Leadership Academy. The Academy offers a range of learning resources available for free for all career stages including 60-minute webinars on various leadership topics such as emotional intelligence, leadership styles and coaching others; online leadership assessments to determine strengths and areas for growth and improvement; and an online community where experiences can be shared, questions asked, and feedback received. You can also explore the resource center that offers suggested books, articles and Ted talks on leadership. Plus, you can investigate all of ASHA's leadership programs, including the Leadership Development Programs and the Minority Student Leadership Program. 

NSSLHA Lounge

Stop by the NSSLHA Lounge to say hello, meet your National NSSLHA leaders, and make new friends! While there, nab one of our free giveaways and student-related ribbons and snap a pic in our selfie station. And, of course, NSSLHA staff will be on hand to answer any questions about National NSSLHA and related activities.

Office of Multicultural Affairs Lounge

ASHA's Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) addresses cultural and linguistic diversity issues related to professionals and persons with communication disorders and differences. The Office of Multicultural Affairs Lounge will provide the opportunity for ASHA members to engage with OMA staff—who have a specific focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion—and share their comments and concerns, as well as learn about information on new products, programs, and resources.

Public Relations Lounge

​The PR Lounge will highlight outreach from the previous year; recognize ASHA Media champions; and offer attendee engagement opportunities via ASHA's Value of the CCCs campaign and a selfie wall. 

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) in the ASHA Member Services Center

What's an Special Interest Group (SIG)? ASHA has 19 different SIGs that focus on a range of topics across the communication sciences and disorders discipline—we're sure there’s at least one for you! Whether you’re starting out in your career, an expert in your specialty, or somewhere in between, you’ll go further in an ASHA SIG. Please join us in the SIG Lounge in the ASHA Member Services Center to learn more about what you’ll experience when you affiliate with a SIG. Exclusive SIG benefits include

About the Convention

The ASHA Convention is one of the largest professional development events for audiologists; speech-language pathologists; and speech, language, and hearing scientists. Bringing together approximately 15,000 attendees, the annual Convention offers more than 2,500 sessions eligible for ASHA continuing education credit covering the latest research, clinical skills, and techniques in communication sciences and disorders.
