Convention Housing & Travel

If you have any questions about making hotel reservations for the ASHA Convention, or encounter any difficulties with the reservations system, please contact the ASHA Housing Center (Maritz) by email at ASHAHotel@maritz.com or by phone at 864-208-2571 (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time).

2024 ASHA Hotel Information

Preview the list of the official hotels (with rates) [PDF] for the 2024 ASHA Convention in Seattle. The ASHA rates are only available through our housing reservation service.

View the interactive map of the official hotels with walking distances or a PDF map of the neighborhood. (Distances are mapped to the main entrances of the Seattle Convention Center and there may be other entrances that are closer to the hotels.)

All official ASHA Convention hotels comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act. If you have a mobility challenge, you may rent a scooter or wheelchair through Scootaround to help you navigate the ASHA Convention. (Read more about accessibility at the ASHA's Convention for information about reasonable requests for accommodations.)

Add Your ASHA Account Number to Your Reservation

Although your ASHA account number is not required to make hotel reservations, we strongly encourage you to provide it to help us track housing information. If you do not have your ASHA account number on hand when you make your reservations, you can add it later by logging back into the reservations system.

Reservation Confirmations

Alert: Starting on September 24 all email confirmations will come from either email_confirm@confmail.eventshq.com or email_confirm@confmail.exl.eventshq.com.

Once you have completed your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email from email_confirm@confmail.experient-inc.com. Be sure to check your junk or spam folder and add this address to your safe senders.

The confirmation email provides your Maritz Confirmation ID for referencing this reservation when making changes through ASHA's housing service. This is not your hotel confirmation number. You will receive an email directly from your hotel on or after November 21, 2024 with your official hotel confirmation number.

Reservation Changes or Cancellations

After your reservation has been confirmed, you may modify or cancel your reservation by logging into the Housing Attendee Service Center via the link in your confirmation message, or email customer service at ASHAHotel@maritz.com. Reservation changes or cancellations should be made through Maritz through Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

Cancellation Policy

Hotel cancellations must be made no later than 72 hours prior to your arrival date. Cancellation within 3 days, or failure to check in on your scheduled day of arrival, will result in a one-night's room and tax penalty charged by the hotel to the credit card used for guarantee. In addition, please be sure to verify check out dates at check-in, as an early check-out may result in an early-departure fee. Beginning Monday, November 25, 2024, changes and cancellations must be made directly with your hotel.

Cancelling a hotel room does not automatically cancel your ASHA Convention registration, and cancelling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel room. If you need to cancel, be sure to follow the cancellation process for both registration and hotel reservations individually.

Waitlisted Rooms

Sometimes, a hotel may not have availability for the entire length of your stay. For example, the hotel may have rooms available on the main nights of your stay (Thursday and Friday of the ASHA Convention), but might have limited availability at the beginning or end of your requested dates. In this instance, you will see the Waitlist icon appear, which will allow you to complete your reservation. Please allow up to one week for us to work with the hotels to fulfill waitlist requests before you book an alternate reservation.

Reservations Deadline

ASHA's housing service will close on Thursday, November 21, 2024. After that date, our housing provider will begin transferring all reservations data to the hotels and you will receive your official hotel confirmation number. Beginning Monday, November 25, 2024, reservation changes and cancellations must be made directly with your hotel.

Roommate Matching

A Roommate Matching forum to help you find a roommate has been set up on the ASHA Community site. The forum is member-led, so feel free to start a discussion with your dates of stay or join an already existing post! (Please note that the ASHA Community is restricted to ASHA members and NSSLHA members only.)

Why Book a Room Through ASHA?

Both Convention attendees and the association benefit when you book a hotel room through ASHA. Here's how:

  • Convention attendees staying at official ASHA hotels can take advantage of ASHA's convenient shuttle service.
  • ASHA is able to negotiate lower room rates at a range of quality hotels.
  • ASHA hotel contracts protect you, and we can provide assistance if problems arise with your reservation.
  • Filling room blocks allows ASHA to secure competitive rates when negotiating with hotels in future Convention cities. ASHA can demonstrate that the association meets its obligations with hotels, which assures hotels that contracting with ASHA will be mutually agreeable.

Unauthorized Housing Providers

Sometimes, ASHA is alerted that an unauthorized housing company is contacting our exhibitors or attendees to inform them that they can offer less expensive room rates at hotels in our block. You may also encounter fraudulent websites promoting housing reservations for ASHA. Maritz Global Events is the only official housing company for ASHA. They will not solicit you and you can only navigate to their hotel reservations website through our own website, convention.asha.org. If you receive a call or e-mail from any company that is not our official housing provider or find a suspicious website, please contact us immediately at convention@asha.org.
