Proposals appropriate for submission to this topic area include those that focus on matters of global interest pertaining to all aspects of the professions of audiology and speech-language pathology as practiced around the world. Topics included are clinical issues, service delivery, global social issues such as immigration and refugees services, service delivery to underserved populations, interprofessional education and practice models implemented around the world and research that addresses how interprofessional competencies are inserted within the curriculum or practice of the professions. The evaluation of collaborative care protocols and outcomes assessment specific to global issues should also be included in this topic area, along with international humanitarian models of assessment and intervention in communication disorders.
