Service & Policy: Non-Solicitation Policy

ASHA is committed to a professional, safe, and welcoming Convention experience for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and guests. Commercial solicitation is prohibited anywhere at the ASHA Convention unless it has been pre-authorized by ASHA staff.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Suitcasing: Promoting or selling products, services, or companies outside an authorized exhibitor booth, including in hallways, session rooms, public spaces, and venue (hotel and convention center) common areas.
  • Outboarding: Hosting unauthorized private events, hospitality suites, meetings, or activities during official Convention hours that compete with or draw attendees away from Convention programming.
  • Unauthorized distribution: Handing out flyers, business cards, brochures, promotional items, or merchandise anywhere in ASHA venues unless from within a designated, paid exhibitor booth.
  • Disruptive pitching: Interrupting sessions, Q&As, networking activities, or social gatherings with sales pitches or promotional activity.

Violations of this policy will be addressed in accordance with ASHA’s Code of Conduct for Meetings.
