Our collection of pre-recorded, on-demand virtual education sessions and posters, all available for ASHA Continuing Education Credit or Professional Development Hours. The Virtual Extra sessions will be available to view from November 9–29, 2023.
The ASHA Convention Virtual Extra program has closed and we hope you were able to take advantage of the learning opportunities that were offered. The continuing education reporting deadline is Friday, December 1, 2023, 11:59 p.m., ET. You will follow the same reporting process as in-person ASHA Convention registrants by entering your sessions into the ASHA Learning Center. |
The 2023 ASHA Convention Virtual Extra offers a collection of pre-recorded, on-demand poster presentations, technical sessions, and technical demos that will be available online from November 9–29, as well as a selection of sessions [PDF] that will be live-broadcast (slides and audio only) from the in-person ASHA Convention in Boston taking place November 16–18.
Everyone can view the Virtual Extra sessions—no login or password needed—but you may only claim continuing education credit for them if you are a full ASHA Convention registrant or a virtual-only registrant. (One-day in-person registrants are not eligible to claim credit for Virtual Extra sessions.)
The on-demand sessions are all hosted in the iPosters gallery. They will be available for 21 days (November 9–29) and are accessible 24 hours a day, so the total amount of continuing education credit you can earn is 504 PDHs or 50.4 ASHA CEUs. You can view them on your own schedule, so how much continuing education you earn will depend on your time investment. The time equivalents of each session type are:
The live-broadcast sessions are all 1-hour oral seminars. Each is equivalent to 1 PDH/.1 ASHA CEU, so you can earn a maximum of 16 PDHs or 1.6 ASHA CEUs by watching a session in each scheduled time block over the three day period. These sessions will not be recorded, so plan to watch them live at the scheduled times.
